Patio Installation with Premium Porcelain Paving

The Objective

The aim of this project was to transform an outdated outdoor area into a stylish, practical patio that could be enjoyed all year round. The client wanted a modern porcelain finish with feature steps, improved access and a durable surface suitable for everyday family use.

The Challenge

The existing patio area required full excavation before construction could begin. Ground levels needed to be carefully prepared to ensure proper drainage and a long-lasting foundation. The project also included building attractive brick-faced retaining walls and central feature steps to maximise both functionality and visual appeal.

The Solution

Our team excavated the existing area before installing a geotextile membrane and a fully compacted MOT Type 1 sub-base to create a stable foundation. We then constructed the retaining walls and feature steps before laying premium 600 × 900 cream porcelain paving slabs. Every slab was primed and laid on a full mortar bed to ensure exceptional strength and durability. The patio was professionally grouted and finished with a polar white decorative stone border, creating a clean, contemporary outdoor living space built to last. Porcelain paving is renowned for its durability, low maintenance and modern appearance, making it an excellent choice for high-quality patios.
