This driveway transformation began with the complete excavation of the existing surface before new retaining walls were constructed to create a strong, stable foundation. A geotextile membrane was installed to improve ground stability, followed by the import and compaction of MOT Type 1 sub-base to ensure a durable base capable of withstanding everyday vehicle use. ACO drainage channels were incorporated to provide effective surface water management and prevent standing water.
The project was completed using premium Marshalls Drivesett Tegula block paving in the attractive Harvest colour, finished with a charcoal block border to create a timeless, high-quality appearance. The result is a hard-wearing, low-maintenance driveway that enhances both the practicality and kerb appeal of the property. This patio transformation began with the complete excavation of the existing area before a new brick-faced retaining wall was constructed, complete with attractive central feature steps to create a practical and visually striking outdoor space. A geotextile membrane was installed to improve ground stability, followed by the import and compaction of MOT Type 1 sub-base, providing a strong and long-lasting foundation for the new patio.
The patio was finished using premium 600 × 900 cream porcelain paving slabs, with each slab primed and laid on a full mortar bed to ensure exceptional strength, adhesion, and durability. Once installed, the patio was professionally grouted and completed with a polar white decorative stone border, creating a clean, contemporary finish that enhances the property’s outdoor living space.
